Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that the government adopted a balanced strategy to cope with the country's coronavirus outbreak, according to Radio Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad alongside PM's aide Tania Aidrus and the prime minister's focal person on Covid-19 Dr Faisal Sultan, the minister said that Pakistan couldn't afford to enforce a complete lockdown.

"Some countries observed strict lockdowns to stop the spread of the virus, but are now facing economic hardships and a rising death toll."
