LODHRAN: A missing minor boy was found dead in the fields here.

A five-year-old boy had gone missing on Friday evening while playing outside his house and was found dead on Saturday morning.

A resident of Chak 97/M, the father of the minor told police that his son had gone missing on Friday evening. They looked for him for a long time and even had announcements made from mosques, but failed to find him. On Saturday morning, the boy’s naked body was found in the nearby fields.

The victim’s parents believed their son was raped and killed, and demanded justice for him. Medical examination and post-mortem confirmed the suspicions of rape and murder.

A spokesman said police along with a forensics team visited the site and collected evidence, adding that the culprits will soon be arrested. A first information report was lodged and police started searching for the culprits.
