ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to give possession to remaining allottees of Park Enclave-I and to open tenders for Park Enclave-II on August 10 so that the development work would be started.

A private company will be hired to provide security to over 3,500 families living in the Park Enclave and Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) project.

CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed on Monday visited Park Enclave-I, Park Enclave-II, extension of Park Enclave-II and the PHA residential project to address the issues of the residents.

Talking to Dawn, Mr Ahmed said there are 700 plots in Park Enclave-I but possession could not be given to around 150 owners as a bridge could not be contracted there.

CDA says development work in Phase II will start on Aug 10

“However, now construction of the bridge is in its final stage and it has been decided to give possession to the allottees after Eidul Azha. Moreover, tenders of Park Enclave-II have been floated and development work will be started after August 10. There are 450 plots in Park Enclave-II and another 1,200 in the extension of Park Enclave-II,” he said.

“PHA has also given possession to around 700 plot holders but they don’t have a collective approach. Moreover, no one has taken any decision regarding construction of parks and other facilities,” he said.

The CDA chairman said it has been decided to create parks and other public facilities such as a system of cleanliness, etc.

“Besides, a private company is being engaged to provide security in the area. That is why on Monday I also visited the area of PHA and talked to people living there,” he said.

According to a statement, three phases of Park Enclave are going to be a milestone for catering to the housing needs in Islamabad for all income levels. The CDA team visited the adjoining PHA project as well.

Development work was physically reviewed in the remaining portion of Park Enclave-I and directions were issued for earliest completion of the residual development work so that possession of leftover plots may be handed over to the owners after Eid.

“It was informed that deck slabs of the bridge have been poured and only finishing work is remaining. Directions were issued to the concerned formation to complete the bridge at the earliest. The concerned formation was further directed to carry out horticulture related works, including landscaping of green areas, soft landscaping of parks and removal of wild growth from the area.”
