MILITANTS attacked the Pakistan Stock Exchange building in Karachi on June 29. They had come prepared to spread mayhem and engage in a long spree of violence.

Thankfully the few policemen and security guards on duty killed all the attackers within eight minutes. The surprising part is all the attackers were shot dead by the defenders.

The incident shows that young and well-trained policemen will always give their best if they also have a high morale. Kudos to the police, and those who trained these policemen.

The police in Pakistan should comprise fearless heroes like these. The nation is proud of its defenders.
