ISLAMABAD, Sept 14: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has said the supreme court administration will be made corruption free for dispensation of speedy as well as inexpensive justice. Talking to mediapersons after the oath-taking ceremony of five judges of the Supreme Court here on Wednesday, he said major surgery of the apex court was underway.

He said strategies were being evolved to make the judiciary, particularly superior judiciary, corruption free.

He said drastic measures were being taken to improve the image of Supreme Court administrative staff in the eyes of the public at large.

In this regard, he said, many senior as well as junior officials of the Supreme Court administration, who were inefficient and known to be corrupt, were sidelined.

In their places, he said, new blood had been inducted in order to make the administrative wing of the apex court exemplary.
