SANGHAR, Sept 14: Alleged killers of three sisters Shumaila, Asma and Uzma, are reported to have been arrested by the Sanghar police in Lahore. Sources told Dawn on Wednesday that police got information that accused Asif, brother of the slain girls, and Munir, husband of Asma, would make telephone calls to apprise themselves of the situation. As soon as they contacted, the number was traced along with their location.

A police party, led by Sanghar SHO Atta Mohammad Dahiri and sub-inspector Mushtaq Jatt left for Lahore and with the help of the Lahore police arrested the accused.

It may be recalled that Asif and Munir had hanged Shumaila and Uzma in Shahenshah Colony and later slaughtered the third sister Asma in Chak No.23, on Sept 8.

12 Injured: About one dozen people, including women and children, of a marriage party were injured when their van overturned while saving a motorcyclist near the flour mill here on Wednesday.

The injured were identified as Umer Farooq, Nazish, Ayesha, Anila, Talha, Naseem, Sadaf, Sumbul, Niaz Bano, Moeed, Azeem and Waseem.
