SWABI: The leaders of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl and Qaumi Watan Party have said that the petrol crisis is an eye opener for the people that the ruling party has failed to deliver.

Talking to Dawn here on Wednesday, they said petrol was not available in the market for common consumers when its price was reduced but there was no shortage of it in the country when its price was highly increased.

JUI-F provincial general secretary Maulana Attaulhaq Darwaish said that government followed the policies of the companies and failed to ensure uninterrupted oil supply after reducing its price earlier because common people were getting some relief. He said that petrol price was immensely increased because the government bowed to the pressure of oil marketing companies.

Masud Jabar, the district chairman of QWP, said that the scenario during slashing price of petrol and increase in the price was quite visible and speaking loudly about the incompetency of the government.

Meanwhile, MPA Rangeez Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf district president Anwar Haqdad on Wednesday condemned the terrorists attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi.

In a press statement, they said that India devised a strategy to weaken Pakistan and PTI’s government because Prime Minister Imran Khan was determined to fight a case of oppressed Kashmiri people at every forum.
