ISLAMABAD: The tally of confirmed cases in the capital rose to 12,643 on Sunday. Officials said that on Sunday 189 positive cases had been reported. However, on Monday, the city saw an increase again, as 248 more people were found infected.

Likewise, five Covid-19 patients passed away on Sunday and one on Monday taking the tally to 128.

In the last six days, the daily count of positive cases remained under 271.

Majority of the cases in the last two days were reported from Loi Bher where 32 people tested positive followed by 23 from I-8, 22 each from G-7 and Sohan, 21 from Rawat, 19 from G-10, 18 each from I-10, G-6 and Khanna, 17 from Tarlai, 16 each from G-8, Bhara Kahu and G-5, 14 from G-9, 13 from G-11 and 10 from G-13.
