TOBA TEK SINGH: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Nausher Chadhar was murdered in an attack at Rajana on Monday allegedly by two gunmen.

The first information report by the Rajana police said that complainant Sadiq Chadhar, of Chak 270-GB, told police that Nausher was sitting at a roadside hotel on Rajana-Chichawatni Road near Chak 269-GB when two gunmen riding a motorcycle shot at and injured him.

He was rushed to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The complainant said the deceased had enmity with relatives Ijaz, Maqsood Salahuddin and Sarfraz who sent the gunmen to kill him.

The police were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.

ELECTROCUTED: District information officer Rao Muhammad Shakil was electrocuted on Monday.

Shakil who had simultaneously dual charge of his office at Toba Tek Singh and Jhang was in his home in Chak Kukar Hatta, Kabirwala (Khanewal) where he died.

His brother Rao Muhammad Wakeel said the deceased was going to switch on a pedestal fan when he accidentally touched a live wire and died instantly.

Scores of people attended his funeral prayers in his village.

DEJECTED LOVER: A youth shot dead a woman and also injured himself in Pirmahal village Chak 660/1-GB on Monday.

Police said Imdad Hussain’s proposal for Saba Bibi, a relative girl, was turned down by her parents. Disgruntled Imdad first shot at and killed Saba and later shot at and injured himself.

He was rushed to the Toba Tek Singh DHQ hospital where doctors referred him to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital.
