HYDERABAD, Sept 12: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Sunday announced names of the Khushhal Pakistan Panel candidates for district and taluka nazim during his visit to Tando Mohammad Khan.

The chief minister held detailed discussions with supporters of Mir Inayat Ali Talpur and Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah before announcing name of the KPP candidate. He nominated Mir Inayat Ali Talpur for the district nazim slot.

For three positions of taluka nazim, the chief minister authorized the Mir group and the Syed group to nominate their candidates from Tando Mohammad Khan and Bulri Shah Karim taluka, respectively.

The chief minister, however, named Ghulam Murtaza Chandio himself for the taluka nazim of Tando Ghulam Hyder.

Talking to reporters, Dr Rahim said the first two phases of the local body elections were held in a peaceful and transparent manner under supervision of the Pakistan Election Commission.

He said the third phase would also be held in similar fashion.

Mir Inayat Ali Talpur told reporters that the chief minister had nominated district and taluka nazims in democratic manner and praised him for creating new districts in the province to bring developed and developing areas close together.
