THIS refers to Turkish drama Diriliş: Ertuğrul on PTV. While it is being watched and praised by a large number of people in Pakistan, a segment of our society has been criticising it.

Several reasons for criticism have been given by these people. I suggest to them to just forget whether it is based on facts and enjoy it as a play.

Many of our so-called liberals or critics are the very same people who, in the past, were admiring the Game of Thrones, which, in my point of view, is a perfect example of vulgarity and aggression.

You cannot even watch it with your family as it has so much obscenity. Therefore, we all should stop worrying about whether facts are being shown in the Turkish play.

THERE has recently been criticism on Turkish play Diriliş: Ertuğrul. Since Independence, the Pakistan Navy has had a succession of ships named Tughril in honour of this Muslim hero.
