KOHAT: Kohat is truly called the city of cold springs which the people throng on important occasions and weekends for picnic and to beat the heat.

The city’s springs were used only for bathing while the Chilli Bagh, Bona Baba, Juzara and Pir Sahib Bagh were also used for picnic parties by youngsters and families.

The flow of water in city’s springs has slowed down over the years, but is enough to fill its three pools.

The people enjoy bathing in the Bona Baba, Chilli Bagh and city’s springs, which have been recently turned into swimming pools. The Bona Baba’s has been converted into two pools with a shed, shower cabins and a balcony.

A women’s swimming pool has also been added to the city’s springs by raising walls around one half. Meanwhile, people have been violating the ban imposed on bathing in springs, streams and dams without any check.
