LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Saturday extended his condolences to the family of senior bureaucrat Khalid Sherdil, who lost his life in the PIA aircraft crash near Karachi airport on Friday.

Mr Sherdil, son of former Punjab chief secretary AZK Sherdil and brother of special secretary, finance department, Mujahid Sherdil, was currently serving as secretary of the Management and Professional Development Department (MPDD) as well as Urban Unit CEO.

The chief minister, in his tweet, said the way Urban Unit under his command helped the Punjab government during coronavirus pandemic was exemplary. He said the Punjab government had lost an extraordinary officer.
