THIS refers to your editorial ‘SC order’ (May 20). As a senior citizen, I feel the Supreme Court is unnecessarily interfering in the domain of executive.

Out of 188 countries experiencing coronavirus can someone name any country where judiciary is controlling opening and closing of shopping malls and commercial centres and that too without taking into account very solid advice of medical professionals and scientists?

I am not in politics but I strongly feel that such judicial incursions reduce the space for the executive to take bold decisions — even unpopular ones — which would eventually prove beneficial to society.

With due respect, the Supreme Court should not work as the auditor general of Pakistan. Instead, it should let every institution work as laid down in the constitution.
