Role of student societies discussed

SWABI, Sept 6: Student societies promote co-curricular activities and literary and artistic potential and make their stay in the campus a rich experience of multi-dimensional growth. This was observed in a meeting of 19 student societies of the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology on Tuesday.

These societies have been organizing socio-cultural activities. The meeting was presided over by rector of the institute Dr Abdullah Sadiq and attended by deans of all faculties, advisors and officer-bearers of the societies.

The main objective of the meeting was to discussed way of improving the functioning of the societies, adopt guidelines for organizing national and international events and estabalish links with the like-minded societies across the world.
