Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Taimur Jhagra has said that while the country's death rate is stable at the moment, the number of coronavirus cases will continue to rise.

"We see headlines everyday of greatest daily increase. Our deaths have stabilised, but do not think the rise in cases will decrease," he said.

"Our deaths have not increased more than 20pc per week, whereas data for Europe we were looking at showed increase by 20pc or 30pc daily. That trend is also being seen in India and Bangladesh."

"So do not think cases will not go up after easing lockdown, the cases will continue to rise, but deaths will hopefully decrease."
