After extensive nationwide relief operations spanning 15 years, Dawn Relief continues its responsibility by distributing food rations to Karachi’s poorest one percent, concentrated in katchi abadis in Baldia and Orangi townships.

The livelihood of these families is solely dependent on the daily wages their breadwinners earn – a sole source of income that ended abruptly due to the prevailing lockdown.

The sad reality is that these families who mirror Pakistan’s diversity, and are among its poorest, have acquiesced to the temporary sacrifice of their livelihoods to attain the self-isolation the pandemic demands.

To contribute ration boxes, please see details here.
