An isolation ward of Peshawar's Khyber Teaching Hospital came under attack after a suspected Covid-19 patient passed away, according to a statement released by Capital City Police Peshawar.

According to the statement, several family members of the suspected Covid-19 patient attacked the ward after the hospital authorities refused to hand them the dead body of the patient, as the test result was still pending.

"SHO town Mohammad Ashfaq reached the hospital upon hearing the news and convinced the family members to wait for the result to come out before collecting the body," the statement reads.
