Awan blasts Shehbaz Sharif on commission inquiry remarks

The prime minister's aide on information Firdous Ashiq Awan blasted the Leader of the Opposition and PML-N chief Shehbaz Sharif for creating doubts over the two-week delay in the report on the wheat and sugar crises.

Awan said that the prime minister was constantly urging to refrain from "doing politics on corona but some person — who was socially distanced in the political arena as well — was making comments against the premier which we then are forced to respond to".

She added that "no government can defeat such a big challenge unless the government and opposition unite for the sake of the people".
