Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information Ajmal Wazir has said that the high incidence of Covid-19 deaths in the province is because people seek treatment for the virus too late.

Responding to a question by the prime minister's aide on information Firdous Ashiq Awan during a video conference, he said that the province also has a significant number of cases because it has the highest number of people arriving from abroad.

"We had a lot of people arriving from Taftan who were quarantined at three places. We had very little testing capacity. We started at 20 tests per day which has increased to 1,000 tests daily," Wazir said.
