Saad and Anum steal limelight

KARACHI, Sept 2: Saad Sohail received the best performance award in the Defence Authority’s Beach View Club competitions on Thursday. Saad won the badminton, swimming and tennis competitions to get the best award among the boys while Ms. Anum Saeed was declared best girl player by grabbing badminton and tennis crowns.

Nasir Qureshi annexed the tennis men’s singles beating Nazir Saeed 6-3, 6-2 while Anum Saeed won the ladies singles title with 6-4, 6-2 victory over Batool Raza.

Ali Mansoor won the men’s squash final defeating Faizan Ahmed 15-3, 15-9, 15-7.

In the men’s swimming Taimur Khan captured the 50 metre freestyle while Shahroz Khan clinched 50 metre breaststroke.

Sara Shamsi won the 50 metre freestyle while Mrs Kamal Zaidi won 50 metre breaststroke finals.

Naseem Ahmed claimed the badminton title with 15-8, 15-8 win against Sohail Muzafar.—Agencies
