MIRPURKHAS, Sept 2: Around 20 passengers were injured when an Umerkot-bound bus overturned near Bachao Band on the Mirpurkhas-Umerkot road on Thursday. The injured were taken to the basic health unit, Dhoronaro.

CLASH: One person was killed and four others were injured in an armed clash between two groups of people over irrigation water share in the Chaudhry Zafar village near Pithoro town on Thursday.

People from both sides resorted to firing and used axes against each other, killing Yaseen Nohri on the spot.

The injured were identified as Soomar Nohri, Alamuddin Nohri, Imtiaz and Ashfaq. They were taken to the rural health centre, Pithoro.

Business centres were closed and police was deployed immediately due to tense situation.

Shadi Palli police lodged counter cases against both sides and arrested Ashfaq and Imtiaz.

MEDICAL CAMP: A free medical camp was organized at Khipro taluka hospital by a pharmaceutical company on Thursday. Neurosurgeons Dr Riaz Ahmed Raja, Dr Masood Hussain, Dr Mast Mustafa and Dr Iqbal Qaimkhani examined over 300 patients and distributed medicines among them.
