Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar has instructed law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to cooperate with medical and administrative staff working in hospitals of municipal corporations and not stop them from reaching their workplace.

The mayor said he had received complaints from doctors and paramedical staff that they were not being allowed to reach hospitals by law enforcement officials enforcing the lockdown.

Doctors and paramedical staff are working on the frontlines to defeat this pandemic, Akhtar said while instructing the officials to allow them to continue travelling after checking their national identification cards (NICs).
