State health minister Zafar Mirza says it would be very "premature" to say that all deaths occurring in the country are due to the coronavirus.
Addressing the media in Islamabad, he said the primary method of ascertaining whether a person has died due to Covid-19 is a laboratory test.
He added that it would be wrong to "speculate" on the reasons for deaths and that tests should be carried out to ascertain the cause for "unexplained deaths".
