Prime Minister Imran Khan has appreciated the efforts of the parliamentary committee formed to evaluate the coronavirus crisis.

During a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, the prime minister also lauded parliamentary committees' decision to hold meetings via video link.

"It is vital that the parliament remains functional in the current situation," the premier was quoted as saying. "Parliament's positive role at this time is laudable."

NA speaker, meanwhile, said that it was important for "all political parties to be on the same page".
