SAPM Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that NDMA has recognised that doctors and health workers' need for personal protective equipment was greater than that of journalists.

Awan said that even if government cannot arrange PPE for media personnel, she will ensure that the equipment is provided to media personnel with help from philanthropists.
