ISLAMABAD, Sep 1: Top seed Carla Khan kept Pakistan’s hopes alive as she checked into the final of the POF WISPA Squash tournament at the Jahangir Khan Complex in Wah on Thursday. In a ruthless display Carla knocked out Malaysia’s Delia Arnold 9-3, 9-1, 9-5 in a 22-minute match setting up a clash in Friday’s final with Sharon Wee.

Sharon, from Malaysia, had to fight hard in overcoming compatriot Tricia Chuah in what was the longest match yet of the tournament.

After fighting it out for an hour, Sharon recorded a 7-9, 9-3, 5- 9, 9-7, 9-5 victory against her stubborn opponent.

The final is set to be played at 5.00pm on Friday and will be graced by the legendary Jahangir Khan, president of the World Squash Federation.

Carla Khan (Pak) bt Delia Arnold (Mas) 9-3, 9-1, 9-5, Sharon Wee (Mas) bt Tricia Chua (Mas) 7-9, 9-3, 5-9, 9-7, 9-5.
