PESHAWAR: Former Pakistan star cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi distributed food packages among people in the Swat district affected by lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a media rel­ease on Tuesday, the flam­b­oyant ex-Pakistan captain held a meeting with members of a charity organization.

Commissioner Malakand Division, Riaz Khan Meh­sud, Deputy Commissioner Swat, Saqib Raza Aslam and others were also present on the occasion.

Later Afridi distributed food packages among some of the families, while also announcing distribution of more packages among 250 affected families at their doorsteps through charity organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Afridi said people of Swat have extend great love to him and he was there standing with them at this time of difficulty.

Afridi assured the people will again visit them during the holy month of Ramzan and help out more and more deserving people.
