SWABI: Three minor brothers were killed and their mother was seriously injured when the boundary wall of their mud house collapsed here on Monday, police said.

The incident occurred in Nazari, a far-flung village of Maneri Bala union council of Swabi tehsil.

The relatives of the deceased and police said that the children were playing near the boundary wall and their mother was also with them, when it collapsed, burying all the four under the rubble. The wall had become weak due to recent rains.

Soon after the incident, members of the family started crying for help and their neighbours rushed to the stite and started retrieving the children and their mother from the debris. The police also reached the spot.

The people retrieved three bodies of the children and their injured mother. The woman was taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor, where doctors said her condition was critical.

The three brothers were identified as Usman Khan, 5, Hanifullah Khan, 4, and Mohammad Umar, 3.

The leaders of political parties and officials of the district administration also reached there and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
