MULTAN: More than 1,100 pilgrims at the Industrial Estate quarantine here have tested negative for the coronavirus.

Initially the district administration announce to send them to their respective areas but changed the decision after instructions from health authorities to test them again before their home-bound journey.

These pilgrims have already spent 15 days each in the quarantine centers of Taftan and Multan.

Meanwhile, teams of the District Health Authority shifted eight relatives of a coronavirus patient, who died three days back, to the Nishtar Hospital for screening.

Attaullah (61) of Tughlaq Road was suffering from various diseases. Though he died at the Nishtar isolation ward three days ago, his test report received after two days after his death showed him positive.

According to health officials, the condition of all family members of the deceased is stable.

The district health authorities have shifted 10 members the Tableeghi Jamaat who tested positive to the newly-constructed building of the District Headquarters Hospital where a 100-bed hospital has been established for coronavirus patients.

The Pakistan Medical Association expressed concern over shifting of the patients to the DHQ since it lacks sanitation and other relevant facilitates.

MUZAFFARGARH: Out of 43 suspected patients at the Indus Hospital here, 34 have tested positive. Three of them have been discharged.

BAHAWALPUR: The second coronavirus suspected patient tested positive in the city on Friday.

According to the civil hospital MS, the 65 years got his samples tested from a private laboratory. Now, the civil hospital administration has referred his samples to a government lab in Multan for confirmation.
