SUKKUR: Two rare blind dolphins stranded in Ghotki Feeder Canal were rescued by a team of wildlife department on Friday.

The dolphins had entered the canal and got entangled in underwater weeds. Residents of the area called the wildlife officials after which some of their subordinates came and rescued the pair in six hours of hectic efforts.

The dolphins were later released in deep waters of the Indus.

According to the deputy conservative officer at Sukkur, each of the dolphins were around seven feet long and weighed about 95kg.
