PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration has asked parents to stop sending their children to local playgrounds in order to protect them from the fatal coronavirus.

Keeping in view public complaints, the district administration ploughed the local playgrounds through tractors to discourage the players and spectators as well. According to a statement, the action was taken in different localities along the Dalazak Road.

It was stated that a team of officials headed by assistant commissioner (city) Sara Rahman visited various localities, sent the children back to their homes and asked the parents to confine their children indoors in order to ensure their safety from the deadly disease.

Meanwhile, the district administration directed the owners of flour mills to continue smooth supply of the commodity to the designated shops in various localities and markets to facilitate the consumers.

Relevant officials visited the flour mills on Charsadda Road, Kohat Road, Budhni, GT Road and also visited the distribution points to ensure sale of the flour at the controlled price.

The officials said details of the dealers in different areas were available on the official Facebook page of the district administration to facilitate the people.
