Jam calls on Shaukat Aziz

ISLAMABAD, Aug 29: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Mohammad Yousaf called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz here on Monday and discussed with him law and order situation and recently held local body elections in the province.

The prime minister termed the law and order situation in Balochistan satisfactory and congratulated the chief minister on peaceful completion of both the phases of the local government elections in Balochistan. He said the elections would go a long way in strengthening the democratic institutions in the country.

He said the results of these elections were a kind of endorsement by the masses of the policies initiated by the federal and provincial governments for prosperity of Balochistan. The prime minister said the outcome of the elections was, in fact, victory of moderate and pro-development forces over extremists.
