The Nawabzada continuing said, “Five years ago the Muslims of India were enmeshed in the question of safeguards. They thought they were a minority and expected charities from the majority of the Hindus. We then were groping in the dark. We could not differentiate [between] “nationalism” and “nation”. We took both as one and the same thing. But this conception was against the principles of Islam. Now we have realised our mistake and are out of the woods. Today Muslims are a separate nation and as such we require a separate country, where we could establish our own State according to our culture, civilisation and historical traditions. Fortunately for us Nature had already in store such requirements of the Muslim nation. All that is needed is a sense of realisation. Thanks to our Qaid-e-Azam, Muslims have now reached that stage…
