The US government and technology companies are discussing ways to use location data from phones to combat the spread of coronavirus, including tracking users' locations to see whether they are practising social distancing.
According to a report by The Washington Post, public-health experts are interested in exploring how technology can be used to compile data anonymously which can then be used to track the spread of the virus.
