PPP co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged employers not to fire daily wage workers during the coronavirus lockdown in the province.

The PPP chief said daily labourers should be given their full salary during this period, "even if they are not showing up to work". He said he expected the Sindh government, which is run by his own party, to formulate a strategy in this regard.

"Sindh will compensate all employers later for paying full salaries to daily wage workers," Bilawal said.
