NOTTINGHAM, Aug 27: England fast bowler Simon Jones was taken to hospital on Saturday suffering from an ankle injury, a spokesman said. A statement said the 26-year-old quick was to undergo “tests on his injured right ankle”. Jones was sidelined from all cricket for 18 months after sustaining a knee injury while fielding in the first Test of the 2002-03 Ashes series in Brisbane.—AFP
