Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, Aug 25: A 15-man Bangladesh cricket squad led by Habibul Bashar arrived here on Thursday to play two Tests and three One-day Internationals against Sri Lanka during a month-long tour.

The tourists are brimming with confidence after recording a stunning five-wicket win over world champions Australia in the recent tri-series in England.

Squad: Habibul Bashar (captain), Khaled Mashud, Khaled Mahmud, Mohammed Rafique, Javed Omer, Rajin Saleh, Mohammad Ashraful, Aftab Ahmed, Mashrafe Mortaza, Manjural Islam, Nazmul Hossain, Abdur Razzak, Tushar Imran, Shahriar Ahmed, Syed Rasel.

Nafees Iqbal, Tapash Baisya, Enamul Haque and Shahadat Hossain will be added to the squad for the Test series.

Tour schedule:

Aug 28: Practice match (Moratuwa).

Aug 31: First One-day International (SSC, Colombo).

Sept 2: Second One-day International (RPS, Colombo).

Sept 4: Third One-day International (RPS, Colombo).

Sept 7-9: Practice match (Colts ground, Colombo).

Sept 12-16: First Test (RPS, Colombo).
