ISLAMABAD: A body of a man found in a sack lying in a wooded area of Islamabad, police said on Wednesday.

Some passersby spotted the sack with blood stains in the wooded area of F-11/4 and informed the police.

The police shifted the body to a hospital for pending identification and legal process. Shalimar police have registered a murder case.

Investigating officer of the case SI Saifullah told Dawn that the man was yet to be identified but his looks showed that he might be in his late 20s.

Finger prints of the body have been taken and sent to Nadra for his identification, he added.

He had injuries on his face, including cuts with sharp-edged weapons, he said, adding the cause of his death was yet to be ascertained.

Separately, two vehicles were stolen from G-9/1and G-9/3, police said.
