LAHORE: PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is going to have a 10-day visit to central Punjab from March 2 (tomorrow) in which he will address rallies, meet workers, journalists and lawyers.

According to PPP Punjab secretary general Chaudhry Manzoor, Mr Bilawal will meet the press in Lahore on March 2, hold a meeting with social media activists and the party information secretaries here on March 3 and address a women convention here on March 5.

The PPP chairman would visit Sahiwal and Okara on March 11, and Patkattan on March 12. He would address workers convention and district bar councils there.

Meanwhile, Mr Bhutto-Zardari has expressed concerns over the law and order situation in Gilgit-Baltistan. He was talking to a delegation of PPP (GB) at Zardari House Islamabad.

The PPP leaders [of GB] apprised the chairman about the political situation [constituency wise] in the province. Bilawal asked the youth to take part in its elections with zeal and fervour. He also expressed concern over the low number of flights to and from GB.

The PPP leader said it was unfortunate that the government did not compensate the victims of the earthquake in Astore.

Bhutto-Zardari also expressed sorrow and grief over the death of Justice Altaf Hussain. Former chief minister GB Mehdi Shah, Engr Ismail and Muhammad Ali Akhtar were also present in the meeting.
