Disparity in pay

Published February 28, 2020

THE Pay Commission formed in 1948 is an autonomous commission through which all government employees get salaries, but the employees of some departments get more perks and privileges. This creates frustration among employees.

Recently, a notification has been issued by the Sindh High Court regarding the enhancement of utility allowance in favour of judicial officers, but the employees of many other departments remain deprived of this allowance.

There are other anomalies also. For instance, a gardener who works in any court gets double the salary than the gardener of any other department.

The authorities concerned should take up this issue and end this discrimination.
