LAHORE: The second edition of the Suppliers and Vendors Defense Exhibition (SAVDEX-2020), will be jointly held by the Defence Export Promotion Organisation (DEPO) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the Expo Centre Lahore from Feb 27 to 29.

It was stated by Brig Syed Ali Ammar Haider and chamber president Irfan Iqbal Sheikh at a joint press conference at the LCCI here on Monday. LCCI senior vice president Ali Hussam Asghar, vice president Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmed, Commodore Tariq Mahmood and LCCI executive committee members were also present.

They said SAVDEX 2020 was aimed at encouraging public-private partnership and collaboration in defence manufacturing industry of Pakistan.

They said the exhibition would serve as a bridge between the defence industry entrepreneurs, traders, research and development specialists, financial experts, startups and the policy makers for capability enhancement and promoting cost-effective businesses.

Commodore Tariq Mahmood said DEPO was committed to promote defence production potential of public as well private sectors of the country.
