RAWALPINDI: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration staff on Friday offloaded an Afghan national while boarding a flight to Italy at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) after his passport was found fake.
A senior FIA official said the man was arrested when immigration of passengers was in progress for a Qatar Airways flight to Doha.
He said during immigration clearance the passenger’s passport was found fake.
The passenger, identified by the FIA as Saleem Shinwari, travelling to Italy via Doha was offloaded and shifted to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Cell for further investigation.
