DERA GHAZI KHAN: Chief Minister Usman Khan Buzdar paid a surprise visit to tehsil Takht Sulaiman of the district to see the pace of the development work.

He visited the Mat Chandia and Mubarki areas.

Earlier, he attended the funeral prayers of the martyr of the Frontier Constabulary, a resident of Takht Sulaiman.

Later, the CM had left for Layyah where he chaired meetings to take stock of ongoing development work worth Rs18bn.

He announced that Chowk Sarwar Shaheed would be the new tehsil of district Muzaffargarh and an industrial state would be established at Chobara of district Layyah.

Mr Buzdar said under a vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Ehsas project worth Rs12bn was being initiated, which would benefit the poor residents of 375 union councils of 23 districts of Pakistan, including Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah and Jhang of Punjab.

The project would benefit 60pc women and 40pc of men of select districts of Pakistan, he said and added that Ehsas project would benefit 1.8m people directly and 6.4m indirectly.
