MANDI BAHAUDDIN, Aug 23: Two candidates for the slots of Bosal Sukha union council nazim and naib nazim have been acquitted in a goat theft case. Former district nazim Nazar Gondal told Dawn on Monday that the Kunjah police implicated Azam and Arif, the candidates for Bosal Sukha UC nazim and naib nazim, respectively, in a goat theft case at the behest of PML highups, but Gujrat senior civil judge Chaudhry Munawwar Husain acquitted them of the charge.

He claimed that the Dost Group would sweep the local elections despite political victimization by the rulers.— Correspondent
