Eisha, Turab, Maryam excel in university athletics event

LAHORE: Brilliant athlete Eisha Imran bagged five gold and two silver medals and was declared as the best athlete with 65 points in the University Sports League Athletics Championship 2020 held at the Punjab Stadium Lahore this week.

Turab Zahra won two gold and three bronzes while Maryam Ali also won two gold and one silver medal to end up among the top athletes.

Other athletes to do well included Erum (one gold), Nazia Ahmed (one gold), Gulfam Shaheen (three bronze medals), Urwa (one silver medal), Kulsoom (two bronze medals).

Lahore college for Women University scored 202 points. Overall, athletes of 58 different universities participated in the competition

The event was organized by University of Punjab in collaboration with Higher Education department.
