QUETTA: A programme held here on Thursday to create awareness about the importance of online portals in increasing business activities in the country.

Speakers on the occasion said that online portals could play a very important role in boosting trade and economic activities and also facilitating both exporters and importers.

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) director Shakeel Paracha and QCCI senior vice president Badaruddin Kakar said that SBP’s online portals and the FX operation were putting positive impacts on the country’s export and import businesses.

SBP joint director Noorullah, officials of banks, QCCI former president Jumma Khan Badizai, Salahuddin Kijiji and other officials were present on the occasion.

In a presentation regarding the online portals, officials said that they could not only provide facilities to exporters and importers, but also save valuable time as well as benefit the foreign exchange. They said legal transfer of funds was one of our top priorities. They recommendations for the country’s system had already been sent to the Ministry of Commerce and Trade.
