LAHORE, Aug 21: Four-year-old chestnut colt, Royal Command, outclassed his eight rivals to win second race in-a-row during the Lahore Summer Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Trained by champion trainer Haji Fazal Hadi, Royal Command, had by far the best credentials in the weak looking field after the withdrawal of Storm Warning from the field and won by one and a quarter length easily.

Owned by Makhdoom Syed Ali Raza, the winner was piloted sensibly by jockey A. Aziz.

The riding boy Sajjad Hussain excelled among the riders when he rode home three winners, King Sound, Manu Janu and Aya Chandiwala in the first, second and fourth race, respectively.

Incidentally the fourth race was the feature event in which even-money favourite Aya Chandiwala defeated long shot Lucky Mayla. Blu’s Wendy and Dazzy Gold completed the field.

Trainer Azhar Ali sent out two winners, Manu Janu and Aya Chandiwala to win distinction among trainers.

Apprentice rider Ahmad Shah registered his career’s first victory when he piloted long-shot bay filly My Love, who ran away with the race in the fifth race of the day winning by six lengths from Aishwarya.

A card of five races was decided in the afternoon. Three events were held over the sprinting distance of 1100m while two over 900m.
