GUJAR KHAN, Aug 21: The police and officials of a security agency on Saturday picked up a man from Bewal area over suspicions of having telephonic contact with the UK bombers, sources said.

They said the intelligence agency officials accompanied by the local police conducted an operation in Bewal Town and picked up a person named Mehboob.

They said Mehboob was requested to assist in identifying the terrorist who had made a telephonic call to him some time back.

The sources did not confirm whether the man was directly involved in the blasts, and said his telephone number was detected after scrutinizing all contacts the terrorists had made with various people.
