QUETTA: Six people, including a woman and a child, suffered burn injuries in two gas leakage blasts here on Sunday.

Police said that the first incident took place in a house in Khilji Colony of Sariab Road that caused injuries to four people, including a woman and child. They were taken to the burns unit of the Bolan Medical College Hospital (BMCH).

Two other people suffered burn injuries in the Essa Nagri area of Brewery Road in a similar incident.

They were also shifted to the BMCH. “Gas accumulated in the rooms of both the cases due to leakage which led to explosions,” police said.

During January, at least five people were killed and around two dozens injured in half a dozen gas leakage blasts that took place in Quetta and Kuchlak areas.
